THIS CAR IS EPIC !

Dear rennteamers!

I'd like to share my very first impression of my long-awaited F430 Berlinetta with you.
I took delivery today morning and drove her home safely (in really nasty weather).
I can hardly describe the passion I feel for this car after only a couple of miles.

So this is what I got to say:

All of you, who already got one: ENJOY!

All of you, who have one on order: CONGRATS!

All of you, to whom none of the above mentioned may apply: TRY TO DRIVE ONE AT LEAST ONCE IN YOUR LIFE!

I love this car, more pics are to come whenever the weather gets better (and I have cleaned her up again

)
and whenever I find the time to take some more pictures (instead of driving, driving, driving...

).

Rossi we have had our MINOR differences but one thing we agree on is the 430 is epic. I love the color combo. From the picture it looks like you have red stitching on black. Are those polished wheels and did you get CB?

Enjoy it and wait until you give her a work out. The smiles just get wider if that is possible.

Actually, I never had the intention to insult you, I just wanted to tell you to take it easy. Relax, let the Porschephiles love Porsche and the Ferraristi love Ferrari. And many love both and others love Lamborghini. Well, I think that's the way it should be. No need for sniffy comments about the back of a Porsche.

Just remember: they are ALL great cars and we ALL can be very happy to enjoy such exceptional pieces of machinery.

I've chosen rosso corsa and plain black leather interior. I neither like coloured stitching nor coloured calipers.

The wheels are the standard ones, as I don't like the shiny look of the polished wheels as well and so they don't distract from the CCM, which is absolutely brilliant BTW.

Did you get F1? If so, I would be interested in your thoughts once you had a chance to "exercise" the car.

Given how much RC and others have depicted Germany as a quasi-socialist state (akin to US Midwest) where one needs to debadge cars, etc to avoid various social/business "issues", curious if you'll be driving F to office on better weather-days? And on wkends is F for autobahn blitzing (w/poss nationalistic "hazing" challenges vs GT2) or only for twisties? And is Munich region as different from rest of Germany in terms of car consumption culture as NYC/Greenwich/SF are from rest of US? Thx for educating an ignorant US car guy (have always been intrigued by the supposedly low-profile German high-end car game, esp given I hear Germans are very "prominent" spenders and characters in MC).....
