Thanks OTwo9. I have to admit, the 993TT will always have a special place in my garage. I still think it's the most beautiful 911 to date. We'll see what the 997TT provides.
SMTkelly - I purchased this particular lift some six years ago from a place in Los Angeles by the name of M.I. Steele Corp. I don't believe they are in business anymore but the best lift that I have seen since is the Bendpak lifts. i beleive their website is www.bendpak.com. I hope that helps.

Amir, seriously--- AMAZING. That is so clean- silver, yellow calipers. to be honest, I NEVER liked older porsche's until I was about 18.... I never liked the 993's until I seriously studied a turbo.... it is one of the greatest cars that was ever made- simple design, executed with technology and style.... the body is priceless.

Smtkelly - That's pretty good but subtract the Cayenne Turbo and add a 2005 F430 and a 2006 M5 and we're up to date.

We're straying a bit of topic here, but I can't help but wonder how it feels to go from a CGT or F430 to the 997S? Does the S feel weak or slow? Do you get bored with it? And how much do you really drive it with all those other cars in the garage, it certeinly is a lightweighter in such company? ...or?

First of all, we can leave the CGT out of it. That car is on a different planet from the F430, Stradale, GT2...etc crowd. The F430 has been quite a pleasant surprise. A friend of mine, who also has a F430, and I, raced his F430 against my GT2, with the stock ECU and a Europipe exhaust, from about 60 to 140mph and we were both surprised to see that the cars were dead even from start to finish.
As for the 997S . I actually loved driving that car for over 10,000 miles. It originally started life as my daily driver but after my M5 came in, my wife liked it so much that we sold her Cayenne Turbo and the 997S became her car.
It truly is a fantastic car. Vast impovement over the 996 platform. It's comfortable, sporty and pretty quick. Best of all worlds minus the rear seat room. But that's were the M5 comes in.
