The Traffic Jam Assist feature sounds great. I wonder whether it is smart enough to really duplicate my behavior in such situations, namely, switching lanes and ending up in the slowest moving lane every time. Now that would be Artificial Intelligence truly mimicking human behavior and passing a new version of the Turing test.
Lars997:Conny997:From this perspective the Panamera looks more like a Audi S7.
Audi has IMO much more character! Compare!
I agree with you, it may be more ugly than the Panamera , but it has more character indeed. For me it´s the only Audi with character and I think it will age well.

KMM:My initial posting was asking what people thought about the ad, not the technology. I thought the ad was somewhat inane.
The technology is fine, it works only with distronic activated.
The ad is really insane, the car recognized a 70 km/h speed limit and the car is driving like hell. Or the statement 70 years of Porsche experience - when Porsche hast started to work on radar and online services?? 70 years ago - I even doubt that the technology is from Porsche, I think it is from some car supplier as nearly all electronic is supplied from external car suppliers.

J.Seven:KMM:The issue with the Audi A7 design is that the back droops too much. As with women, a droopy ass is never a good thing
You can´t have a more droopy ass than a 930, 964 or 993 and they all look amazing
What are you talking about? That ass looks very perky to me!
I find the marketing package for the new Panamera extremely cheesy!
"courage change everything"... actually don't see any particular revolutions and courage with the new Panamera at all. This tag-line would have been more appropriate for Tesla.

Porsche is really struggling with this one They should have just done a fade away and than the words "CASH COW" appear with dramatic music

I agree the ads about "courage" are vague and far-fetched. But I do think it took some courage (let's define it as "high risk taking") for Porsche to have entered a very crowded luxury sedan market with a performance oriented four seater. if I had been on the Board at the time the Panamera was being considered, I would probably have lacked the "courage" to have voted to produce it in a market already occupied by BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, etc.

Same with me, would've voted for 928 replacement instead.
Drove the new Panamera Turbo on ice! I found the "old" Panamera GTS easier to drift, this is really a big boat with lots of computer screens. The sound is compared to the "old" GTS weak, even with the sport exhaust on. The car(s) were brand new produced on 22 December.

You seem ZERO impressed with this car! How about Power, comfort, stance, build quality, suspension, driving position?
Nice pic btw.

Zero impressed is not correct. It is a very nice car beautiful from inside, drives very nice and smooth, lots of power etc. But it is not a sporty Porsche it is a big car. This direction Porsche goes with the Panamera is okay they will find customers but not for me (unfortunately). I would like iit f Porsche builds an ultra sportive four doors in the dimension of Mercedes E 63AMG.
Please, Porsche, give us a break! This commercial must be the worst ever and bad for the brand... And besides that, who remember the flight number? Porsche should stick to being the drivers car, new in-car tech and UX is for sure not something they know much about...
This commercial is really bad. They are apprx. 10 years too late. Nowadays everybody has Internet on the go - why the heck would need a flight information in your car. Also - every modern car is nowadays connected. So what?
@m4ever - this highway looks more like Sweden to me
I think they have a new marketing agency. I have read somewhere a press release - the same as Volkswagen is using.
Beside that the add is pure nonsense - the functionality is totally useless - for flight information I will use my smartphone and I could do this for a years - so nothing new

Yes, exactly, I was thinking the same. In this situation I and I suspect the very vast majority of people will use their smartphone.
Wonderbar:I am probably the only one on this thread who has not yet seen the new Panamera. I will get a chance on Monday to see the car in both turbo and 4S configurations, and will post my impressions for what they are worth.
Yes, I spotted the first one the other day Now only you left.
I does look very nice. Far more elegant than the old one, but maybe missing a bit character.
