    which is lower?

    Which is lower between the followign pairs (and better height-wise):
    - 996 c4s
    - 997 s or 4s

    - 996 c4s
    - 997 s or 4s with 20mm lowering

    Am trying to decide whether to lower (in the aftermarket) the 997 4s i have on order or not. I like the height of my old 996 c4s and think its perfect.

    if you dont want to go too low, consider techarts, hardly any change in bumpy ride, better handling and very mild but noticeable drop I think its like 15-20mm, compared to 30mm of other springs,
    havent seen a C4s coupe but my friends c4s cab looked like a suv and i think its probably as high as a non s coupe which is also extremely high, on either of those i think they need a 30mm drop.
    never compared up close to a 996 c4s

    thanks raffi. I want to go as low as my current 996 c4s. just do not know if the 997 4s is as low as that or not. i have not seen 997 c4s "live" to know and compare.

    US spec 996's are 10mm higher than the RoW version (except GT2 and GT3) so I will stick to US version since you are in US:

    996C4S is 10mm lower than the standard 996C2/C4.

    The type US-996 is 5mm higher than the type 997 (both US and RoW)


    Ergo,

    The US-996C4S is 5mm lower than the std 997 version (RWD and AWD).

    The US-996C4S is 5mm higher than the PASM-997S version (RWD and AWD).

    The US-996C4S is 15mm higher than the -20mm 997S.

    Hey Carlos, thanks. Since we cannot get the 20mm option in the US, I'll just have to be content that the 997 s is 5mm lower than my 996 c4s - which is good.

    you can get the 20mm option here in US after delivery...
    I have seen the kit for sale on suncoast website.
    or you can save some cash and just go for the techart 15mm option.
    I think the 20mm option will be 10mm lower than a pasm equipped car right? (since pasm is already 10mm lower)
    Best idea is to drive the car for a while and then decide if it looks too high, that is what I did until I opted for the techarts and alot of people still think I havent dropped it...

    Cargraphic Springs

    BD997- where did you purchase your Cargraphic springs? Can you describe any difference in ride/handling? Thanks.

    I got them from Cargraphic in Florida.... But I beleive they are made by H&R. They lowered the car about 30mm all around. The ride is about the same as stock... but after I put 20's it became a bit more harsher but still ok. If I turn on PASM forget it... really rough like im driving with no rubber on my tires. But handles like a dream
