I would hope for DB9 volante or perhaps a different brand all together. As for the Z3 it suited the frame of Pierce however the new JB is quite stauesque hence the car would be completely out of proportion

Poeple only say Sean Connery was the best bond because he was the first to play the part. It's more for respect. Roger Moore is going to say that Sean is the best out of respect to. Roger Moore to me was the best Bond of them all.

I personally agree with racer x, I too agree that PB was the best followed very closely by SC.
Secondly, "the new guy"- not only does he not look like bond but i heard he's afraid of guns!!!
finally, has a P car ever been featured in the James Bond series? I think it would be cool to maybe see a black 997s as a villan car, or perhaps a cayenne.

Funny you say that, I remember reading a Bond novel about 10 years ago featuring a black Porsche 911 turbo as the villan car. In the book Bond drove a Saab.

i don't think SC was 1st to play JB. there was some other guy who appeared in 1 (maybe 2?) episodes b/f that.
as for PB, he's kinda wimpy imo.

Sean Connery was the first Bond in Dr No in 1962. The Australian George Lazenby played Bond for 1 movie in 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Connery was brought back in 1971 for Diamonds Are Forever after the viewing public and Cubby Brocoli the producer decided that Lazenby wasn't the right man for the job.

I remember reading a funny story about Australian George Lazenby a few years ago. I read that he was on holidays somewhere and happened to meet someone that was involved with the new Bond film. He told whoever he met that he was the highest paid Actor in Australia and all of the projects he was involved in. The funny thing was he had never acted in his whole life, he must have been very convincing because he got the part as James Bond!!!

I understand that Clive was in the running but obviously wasn't chosen. I thought Daniel Craig's last movie, "Layer Cake", was pretty good. If you've never seen it, it's worth the $3 to rent it.

It might be a good idea for Ford to try and get the new XK8 chosen as Bond's car. As Jaguar is part of Ford's Premier Automotive Group alonside Aston Martin and Volvo they may get more sales exposure value using the Jaguar brand. The new XK is more "afforable" than the AMV8 and therefore in the financial reach of a larger number of the cinema audience. Jaguar desperately needs a sales boost given it's lack lustre sales recently caused by market rejection of it's retro designs and the $/Pounds exchange rate.

yes, that's right (couldn't remember name of that show). i thought he was pretty good in it actually (much less wimpy than PB).

I think the AMV8 is too small to fit the Vanquish S engine.... Its got to be the new Vanquish or atleast a nearly completed version of it. They have done a great job of keeping the Rapide quiet so who really knows.
