"Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

Some of you guys in Germany may get an invitation by Dr. Wiedeking to the Porsche "Null auf..." Event.

PLEASE do us a big favor: DO NOT post any details about the date or location of this event on ANY internet forum.
You can post whatever you want AFTER the event took place, taking pictures will be allowed as far as I heard.

Since this event is ONLY accessible by direct invitation from Porsche anyway, it doesn't make sense to post any details about the date and/or location.

THANKS a lot, we appreciate your understanding!

Ha! I knew that the 0-100 time will be an important marketing message

    It'll blow away the competition.

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

Rc, you sound like you work for Porsche.

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

... don't you think Porsche Marketing is anticipating/expecting people gossiping about the "from zero to ... " figure ... it's part of the game ... come on RC ... don't you think that's naive ??

If they would not want it ... there wouldn't be any event.

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

You think I might get invited? Should I begin to pack?

BTW will this be an event like the CGT where you ride around with factory drivers and not have an opportunity to sit behind the wheel?

If they should invite you they might have good reason not to let you behind the wheel

We're already telling you more than we should.
Maybe a hint: I heard something about a certain number...3.7.

3.7 hmm what does this mean...?!
3 is for 3rd and 7 is for july?!
    3.7 engine cc ?
3.7 years more for PDK Gearbox ?!
    we dont understand RC...

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

    0 - 62 3.7 secs ..

    throt..

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

And what the heck should be that top secret about a figure of 3.7 sec from nil to 100 kph???

That figure has already been posted a couple of weeks ago, also here at rennteam.

Well, it actually has started here and continued to other forums. For me and you, maybe there is nothing "secret". But for 90% of the regular customers, a 3.7 sec. acceleration figure from 0-100 kph is sensational.
Remember: the Carrera GT has been reviewed at 3.8 sec in Sport Auto and even at 3.9 sec. in another car magazine.
The Pagani Zonda S has been stopped at 3.8 sec. too, the Murcielago at 3.9 sec., the GT2 MkI at 4 sec and MkII at 3.8.

3.7 seconds are pretty spectacular, believe me.

And what is also interesting: rumors indicate a 0-160 kph (100 mph) time of under 8 seconds. Remember: GT2 MkII does it in 7.9, the Carrera GT in 7.1 seconds.
Meaning: from 0-160 (100 kph), a Carrera GT can't outrun a 997 Turbo. I call this VERY impressive.

But of course performance doesn't matter too much to you...you're a Ferrari driver, I forgot.

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

    0-100 under 8 secs ,, thats kicking ..

WRONG. I've read it in another forum, before it was posted here at rennteam. And BTW, I would say the 0-100 time is the least important data concerning performance. Of course a AWD car should be very, very quick here. But a sub 8.0 for 0-160 is fantastic, no doubt.

WRONG again. Sorry for you RC. I drive both.
And I'd say performance matters more to me, than beautiful styling does to you.

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

And what about the 997gt3??? any news???, if the turbo has this sort of SPECTACULAR performance figueres can't even thing about the gt3.....

3.7 seconds from 0 to 100kph.....that is more than impressive.....

We are going to reach a level, where performance will be always the same ....phenomenal!!!!!

btw thanks RC for your information!!!....I am 100% that all of us rennteamers, know more than our dealers jajajaj

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

Thank you Rc very much for your info...
But i still wait for Pdk if it doesnt come out from the start...
3.7 is IMPRESSIVE.. (Imagine when someone tunes that beast how fast it will be....)

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

Wow! Calling a 0-100kph time of 3.7sec and a 0-100mph time of under 8sec merely impressive is an understatement.

What a time to be a car enthusiast.

Re: "Null auf..." Porsche Event and asking a big favor

my source tell 3.7 sec manual..and yours RC?

    3.7 PDK or manual?

That would then imply below 12 seconds for 0-200kph Not bad...

The x50 Powerkit version could get in the range of 11 seconds then

That would be spectacular . On another note, any news of the TTS? Will it really only be late by a year and full of new technology or will the same thing happen that did with the 996TTS?

... well ... the GT2 MkII has 483 HP ... am i right ... the new 997tt has 480 HP + AWD ... so the figures are just within the expected range ... the most impressive thing for me is that this awesome performance will be delivered in a much more safe and convenient manner ... and for less money of course
