    19" Carrera Sport Wheels - nobody has them?

    I cant find a pic on the net of just the wheel to give you an idea of how they look... so I will give you the description.... "set of one piece monobloc alloy wheels with 10 spoke design. gt silver metalic paint finish with high gloss polished rims"

    Did anyone upgrade to the 19" carrera sport wheels? The reason I ask is becuase they are 1/2 inch wider at front and back, and probably make the car look meaner! I have never seen any on websites or anywhere...they are only a couple of hundred more to upgrade too....

    They are described in the Porsche brochure and price list as " 19-inch Carrera Sport Wheel" They are the most expensive wheel to upgrade tooo.....

    these are on a cayman but same wheel basically...

    They look verrrry nice in real life, more substantial than in any photos I've seen. Also, I wouldn;t call them and "upgrade" because they're totally for looks and I think of the extra cost (excessive, you can be sure) as just paying Porsche to fuss with the order/build change.

    Awesome!! Thanks so much for the pic, especially with the aerokit... my car spec has been placed, but im changing the wheels to the 19" carrera sport wheels first thing tomorrow! Mine will look like the black above, with full aerokit, and 5 mm spacers!!

    Anymore pics would be greatly appreciated!

    To all aerokit haters, i appologies but I couldnt help ordering it, if you see one in real life you will understand more!!!!!

    Lead time, ordered last week and will recieve in April... Which is great, but I will go mad waiting that long... im going mad allready.. I thought it was a long time but then I spoke to another dealer who quoted A july build!!

    I have to say again, I love those wheels! I am wondering what he will say when i order them becuase on the uk website, it says you can only have them if you paint them, and also in thr brochure it has a * next to the option and says "ask your dealer for availability". I may have to kill somebody to get them ordered.......... but if thats what it takes..

    or you can just select the coloured centre caps on the website then it isn't mandatory to have them painted - you get them GT Silver as standard.

    Be aware that the Carrera Sport Wheels come with 17mm spacers in the rear. I've ordered them partly because I like the way they look and partly because I'm hopping that the apacers will fill in the wheel wells better than the standard wheels

    Hey MES,
    Persuader is correct, my understanding is the same -- Porsche requires you to order XRR wheels with either 1.) colored centre cap set..hundred quid or so right? OR 2.) wheels painted in body color.

    Camp out in front of your sales assoc's desk until he makes it happen.

    I am not sure you are correct, im going to look into tomorrow. I think you can only get 17 mm spacers on Carrera 4, So I have ordered 5 mm spacers too.... I like you want the wheels to fill out the arches as it will make the car look awesome... Im looking into it 1st thing in the morning, i will update you..

    The 19" Sport wheels are 305s while other 19" wheels are 295s, isn't that the reason why you cannot add 5mm wheel spacers? The screws won't fit the width of both the wider wheel and the 5mm spacers (since it uses the standard screws). You could probably add 17mm spacers since these are mounted on the axis with separate screws and the wheel is mounted on the spacer with the standard screws. That would get very wide though, outside the wheel house fender, which is "illegal" in most countries.

    Any pics of XRR's on a Cab?

    They look great on a Coupe, but on the Porsche configurator they don't look so hot on a Cab. So REAL pics of XRR's on a Cab would be a real help.

    Just checked the Porsche Order Guide and you are correct. Carrera Sport Wheel includes 17-mm spacers on rear axle only on 4WD Models.

    Hi - Luko I replied - sorry for the delay, have been away.

    OK I spoke to my dealer and you can have these wheels with 5mm spacers, the 17mm spacer is for the 4wd option.... He couldnt say but does anyone think or know if the 5mm spacer with the extra 1/2 inch wide tires will be too wide?

    I want them to sit as far out as possible without leaving the arch!!

    MES,

    I just ordered the 5mm spacers when I placed my C4S Cab order. I've seen the 17mm spacers on a C4 and they appeared a little too wide to me... I believe the 5mm will be just right. I figure I can always add the 17mm in the back later- if necessary.

    STILL haven't seen XRR wheels in the metal, pics just look better and better...
    (take a look at how well they fill out the rear arches, this white one is a US-spec C2S cab without any optional spacers)
