in my view it only would make sense as a "halo model" with lots of carbon in very limited numbers - otherwise it would be a huge middlefinger to those who bought and are going to buy a 718 with 4 cylinder......- no matter how much HP there. It would kill sales on the 718 which I thought is already a "sensitive subject".....

Cool! But must come with a hefty price tag or it is a middle finger to both the 718 and the GT3. Because I can't see Porsche giving away the new GT engine for "free" just because it sits in a Cayman.

Always been a 911 fan, but I would take the Cayman w/ the GT3 motor over the GT3 in a heartbeat, cost notwithstanding. Seems very contrary to all things Porsche however if indeed past is prologue.

The only thing speaking against this GT4 RS rumour is the complete lack of mules and spy pictures. The new GT3 we have seen for a long time now, but not a single GT4.

The only thing speaking against this GT4 RS rumour is the complete lack of mules and spy pictures. The new GT3 we have seen for a long time now, but not a single GT4.
Its just too fast to be seen by the naked eye or captured by cameras, they added a GT3 engine and painted it white, just too fast

The all-new 2018/2019 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 📸: @Race356 Recently snapped undisguised, the Cayman GT4 is distinguished by an aggressive front fascia and a small vent beneath the hood. The sporty styling continues further back as the model has lightweight wheels and a high-performance braking system with cross-drilled rotors and red brake calipers. The model also features a fixed rear wing, an aggressive diffuser, and a dual exhaust system. Car Scoop’s spy shooters couldn’t get close enough to snap interior photos. The all-new model will reportedly have a detuned version of the 4.0-liter flat-six that resides in the 911 GT3. The engine is expected to produce at least 400 hp in the Cayman GT4. Regardless of the final rating, the model is expected to be offered with a manual transmission and an optional PDK gearbox. Rumors have suggested the Cayman GT4 could debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month but we’ll find out soon enough.
