Did the C2S have the -20 mm suspension installed? If not, the M3 wouldn't get much help with the sport package...

The 997 Carrera S with 20 mm chassis has been just tested by SPORT AUTO. Hockenheim Kleiner Kurs almost 3(!) seconds faster than the SLK 55 AMG, Nordschleife 8 min 5 sec (the SLK was 19(!) seconds slowlier, ouch).
I drove the SLK 55 AMG a while ago because the lease of my wife runs out (she owns a SLK 32 AMG). After the testdrive, I ordered her a Boxster S, the SLK 55 AMG feels less sporty than her old SLK 32 AMG, only the engine and the auto tranny are absolutely great.
A huge disappointment in my opinion but I have to admit that I'm more the "handling" type of guy, not the straight line performance type of person.
That said, no more AMG Mercedes in our family after 3 AMG Mercedes in the past at the same time. Now a third Porsche is coming and although my brain is still a little bit connected to Mercedes AMG, my heart tells me different.
