    SL65 ride along VIDEO

    I must say, that is one of the most disappointing noises I have ever heard in a car. It sounds more like a regular Mercedes V6, slightly more coarse. No doubt its a butter smooth and one of the most powerful in the world, but it sounds terrible.

    The SL55 in comparison sounds much much better. I still think that its the bets AMG car yet.

    Come on,

    you cannot judge by this video, its audio quality is ridiculous!

    It is said that MB modified the exhaust system on the car to get a more prominent exhaust note - I would be surprised if it'd sound like their V6s!

    Come on,

    you cannot judge by this video, its audio quality is ridiculous!

    It is said that MB modified the exhaust system on the car to get a more prominent exhaust note - I would be surprised if it'd sound like their V6s!

    wow ///amg mercedes has something bad to say about mercedes?... shocking at best

    the thing that amazes me is how this car spins its wheels in like 1-2-3-4 gears haha... you can see the traction control going insane every time it shifts.

    admittedly the audio is horrible in that vid.

    There is a difference in saying bad about something and positively criticising something. Unfortunately, there is an unhealthy and unwelcome of the former at rennteam.com. I'm sure you can appreciate this.

    Bilal, the SL55 vid doesn't convince me either. I am very sure that both cars sound much better in reality!
