Till now I thought that driving mode in performance with snow set up could be a lot of fun. Good to know that this isn't applicable in a safe way.

The description in the manual is really crap, they should explain all modes in detail and give recommendations for (safe) rain and snow driving.

Looks like a lot, but really they're pretty close. Less than 2% faster. In other words, you'd never tell the difference unless you launched.

Thanks for the info, didn't know that. I only heard of a possible R8 GT but it is not excluded that Audi follows the same way Lamborghini followed with the LP580-2. In my opinion way too many variants.

Unless of course this is the rumored R8 GT based on the Performante but as far as I heard, the Performante is supposed to maintain the AWD. Smiley Smiley

Audi maybe needed a cheaper R8 model but judging by the (still) many 24h Experience cars for under 150k on the market, I'm not so sure a R8 with RWD would be a good idea for now. Unless they finally remove these cars from the used car market because they hurt new car prices as well.

The V6 Biturbo is another problem, let's see how this car will sound. Rumored power so far is 500 hp or slightly less. Could be a good alternative for those who want a more exotic look but don't need the performance and/or want the fuel consumption of the V10.

The V6 Biturbo in the R8 is coming...it is just a matter of time (very likely with the facelift in 2018). It is basically the same engine used in the Panamera 4S.

I am a bit confused with the RS3 Sportback/Sedan claims on that sheet because AMS just claimed recently that the Sedan makes it to the USA and China first this summer and Europeans get the Sedan later, maybe not even before 2018. Same could be valid for the Sportback.

We are talking about the 400 hp version here, same engine/power as TT RS.

Which brings me to the next weird point: That sheet mentions the TT RS but this car is already available since last year. I already had a test-drive at my dealer last year. yes

So my suspicion is that this product sheet may be older...

I've heard they have a termal issue with the car - in switzerland 6 month delay if you want to order one despite that they have demo cars now....- dunno if true but one guy from our Office testdrove one and got that info back... yes

The sheet is right about the TT RS. It was never possible to configure a TTRS. Audi build a few hundreds preconfigured cars last year.
They have problems with the new R1234yf cooling fluid required 2017 in the EU. All models with the new 5 cylinder engine are on hold.
The engine runs too hot for the new cooling fluid, which has a much lower flash point temperature (I dont know if that is the right translation).

Public availability was canceled october 2016. The 2016 cars still have the old fluid and need a examption to be registered 2017, which they got in the last week of 2016 for the about 100 cars which they not manage to sell in time.

It was a big mistake by Audi not to include the R1234yf when the redesign the new 5 cylinder engine. There are rumous that they asume they can get a examption until 2018 or later. But after dieselgate the authorities the not generous to VW/Audi anymore.
