This CLK DTM Edition is a copy of the DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft-the most important german national racing class) car.
Weight will be around 1700 kg, power in the 600 HP range.
Should be the hell of a rocket but unfortunately only for 50 select customers as far as I heard.
There is however a rumor that DC and AMG decided to offer the supercharged V8 in the CLK 55 too, so expect a lower priced "regular" CLK 55 Kompressor soon.

Even if it's a bolt on job, I can usually tell if the thing was put on to win a race or show off a rice burner. The wings for racing, although very crude sometimes, still look great to me and I associate them with the race cars and not the rice rockets. What I find so strange is that the rice rocket wings which are meant to be stylish and imitate wings like the one on the Mercedes, always end up looking worse than the wings that were designed without anyone caring about how they look and only made them for aerodynamics!
It almost seems that if the ricers really wanted their stuff to look good, they'd just go to a wind tunnel and not even talk to anyone about how it looks. Truly counter-intuitive, but I bet it would work a lot better than the way they design things now.
