    ML 55 AMG Recall in Germany

    Right now, a ML55 AMG recall is in effect in Germany.
    Reason: possible problems with the steering system (it can loose hydraulic oil).
    Risk: the power steering might be affected and the lost oil might be harmful to the environment.
    A fix is already available, install time around 30-45 minutes.

    Customers will be contacted by their dealers as soon as possible.
    We don't know if this recall affects only german versions of the ML55 AMG but we suppose that all international versions are affected (incl. US) because the ML55 is build in the US.

    To add to your comment RC, our ML hydraulic hose got busted in the middle of street in Houston last month (Thank God we were not on the Road with the baby) and MB had to come and lift the car.

    I'm glad I was with my wife because I turned off the engine right away when I saw hydraulic fluid was gushing out from under the car. She had no idea it was highly flamable.

    Hydraulic issue, another potential law suite that I could file against MB

    I wonder if they started the recall in the US too???
    Seems to be a problem on all ML models.

    I wonder if they started the recall in the US too???

    Hey than that what happned to me, i noticed already like 3-4 times sometimes my steering wheel is getting harder, so what i do i restart the car....i was planning to go to mercedes dealership to tell them about it....so now i can explain the problem maybe if they dont know it yet!

    Hey than that what happned to me, i noticed already like 3-4 times sometimes my steering wheel is getting harder, so what i do i restart the car....i was planning to go to mercedes dealership to tell them about it....so now i can explain the problem maybe if they dont know it yet!
