    Re: new 997 TT pics!

I like it! Not sure about the wheels but I think it may just take time for me to get use to them. I'll take my 997TTS in blk/blk.

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

Ill take speeed yellow with PCCB and black hre wheels with a 5inch lip in the rear

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

    That's great, I'll be $51,000 ahead....as I already secured a $1000 deduct from my dealer towards a 997TT.

Interesting! But, look at pic #2, the person who take it was really close to car... So, why he didn't took any interior pics?? Somebody is fooling with us, guys.

look at pic#7 you will see that seats backs are pushed forwared which means that you will see nothing of the interior

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

This is the only thing I do not like about this car, the intercooler openning it looks ugly
It is nothing like the CGT nor the 996tt. I looks like a melted techart one

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

    Damn...i love this car!!!

thanks for those pics...is the right colour too!!!

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

I have no doubt that ones we seen the car on the streets it will be very impressive!!

Overall not all that impressed, it does not look clean

    exactly.

not clean, not beautiful -- but even not mean. kind of fuzzy aftermarket.

maybe street presence will be diffent. i hope so.

what i like most about the car on the pictures: the roof antenna! quite oldschool, but cool.

    anyway, thanks for the pictures!

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

You don't think there is an international court injunction or something taken out by Porsche against publishing anything they don't pre-approve?

So maybe people are taking pics of the interior, they are just not getting released...

Either that or Porsche have introduced a new 'flame thrower' security option that if you get too close it roasts you

Personally, I think that ALL upclose pictures we've seen so far have been taken with the "approval" of Porsche. And if the guy who leads you to the car to take pictures tells you "no interior shots", you can't do much about it. Of course this is just a speculation.

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

I like the car and as every other Porsche, it will be much much better in the flesh.. The rims are perfect for such a powerful car and look better than the ordinar C2/C4 rims to me...
I just think, that most of the Porsche fans are too conservative, and you need some time and life expirience to get used

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

So the cars basically have 24/7 huge bouncer guys around them controlling who snaps what. Given quite a few of these released pics were taken at night, that surprises me (although they do insist on parking the TT next to the nearest street lights!).

So I think Porsche must be taking these themselves and distributing them...

    Totally agree.

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

...then doing their market research by reading this site afterwards and seeing what people think!

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

May I ask what we expect to see in turbo interior shots?
Do you expect/await some special changes?
Just the transmission or any other visual/technical advances?

That Porsche has the DSG/PDK in the pipeline is clear and established. I heard that from Porsche guys. The question is when they will actually introduce it.
There are so many 997TT test cars now being photographed; I would expect that they have all kind of combinations in these cars: Manual, Tiptronic and PDK. And PDK probably even if they would decide that it is not yet ready for primetime and will not be available for the introduction in 2006. Therefore, I am not sure what the special surprise in the interior shot might be. Even if we see a test car with paddles/buttons indicating PDK, this may not necessarily mean that PDK will be available.

Or do you expect other changes? New PCM? New interior design cues? Things that foreshadow updates in future base models as it was with the 996 TT introduction?

    1. cars are usually guarded (guards don't appear on pics)
    2. the photographers who may be allowed to take pictures signed a non-disclosure agreement (just a guess) to publish only "approved" pictures
    3. violating non-disclosure agreement may not only create serious legal issues but also would "ban" any photographer from further events/press events and interesting stories. I doubt anybody would risk that.

The guy who shots the last 16 pictures has not oet any approval of a porsche guy. The picutres where shot without any presence of other persons, with a mobile phone camera. I will ask him about the interieur.

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

    just some more information:

The guy said, that the interieur has nothing special but the gear shifter could be a PDK gear shifter. He isn't sure about this. This could indicate that PDK as an option will be available from start.

Pictures...PLEASE. We need speedo cluster and gear lever pictures (even better: throttle/brake/clutch pedal area pics to see if there is a clutch pedal with a stick lever).

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

The wheels on the 997TT actually look quite similar to those on the C6 Z06! I don't like either. Both look like cheap aftermarkets IMO.

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

can anyone photo shop the rear with 4 dual round tips??? Im definetly changing the exhaust and wheels when mine arrives....Maybe Carlos if he can....Thanks in advance!

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

That people will pay 50k above MSRP for the the 997tt is wishful thinking IMHO...

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

    you never know...;)

You're totally right! The CGT has a better chance of reversing course in the market and commanding a $50k premium. Demand for the 997 TT will barely outpace supply for its initial introduction.

There might be a problem changing the exhaust pipes. What DEFINETELY will be a problem is going for aftermarket exhausts as far as I heard from one of our sources. He couldn't go into details but I suppose it has something to do with the new technology and the higher temperatures?!

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

anyway,...this is what it would look like.

    Re: new 997 TT pics!

wow thanks!!! much better I think...
