Audi Abt S3 - for general short trips locally. Brilliant run-around car and surprising practical.
I work from home most of the time so don't really have a commute. The 997 only comes out on trips longer than an hour or nice sunny days where don't have to subsequently spend ages cleaning it again. Still racked up 2000 miles in 4 weeks though in the 997.

Re: 997 owners, what is your daily driver?
I love the 997 for a daily driver. I live in Florida and the weather is perfect for it right now. My friends tried to talk me into 997S coupe to take on the track with them, I said that I would only do that once every couple of months. So I bought a 997 Cabrio for the same money and I enjoy that everyday. It was a better choice for me. 
) , will be a weekend tool..

I'm another F-150 Lariat guy.
The 997S is on a pace of about 5,000 miles per year
The F150 is pacing about 12,000-14,000 miles per year
Basically I drive the Carrera when I feel like it, nice weather, night out to dinner, etc.., and I use the Ford for everything else, hauling stuff, kids, driving on foul-weather days, etc.etc... It's a perfect balance.
The 997S is on a pace of about 5,000 miles per year

I did the same. My family wanted the drop top and I wanted the C2S. Ended up with the C2 Conv and I love it. Maybe I should have gone for the C2S Cab
