Newbie: Need feedback on buying a 2000 C2
I'm considering getting a 2000 911C2 at the end of the month. Need feedback on using it as a daily driver, what sort of maitenance should I expect to do on it, costs etc. I do not want to go into this blind. It is up between a 2001 Corvette (18k miles) and the 2000 C2 (30k miles). Both are 6sp, Porsche has Nav, cd, silver on black. Corvette is blue on black, heads up display, adjustable ride dampening, Cd, glass top etc.
I really want the Porsche but my buddies are telling me that it will have problems down the road, break down, expensive oil changes etc. I drive about 30k miles a year (I'm in sales)and want something for all my road trips. Needs to be fun but won't leave me broke on the side of the road. I know I can stop just about anywhere in the US and find a Chevy dealership if I had problems, tough to find a Porsche dealership out on the road.
Looking for someone to tell me from experience what I should expect as a C2 owner. Thanks!
