Low mileage used 997's

If you look at any OPC website under 'Centre Stock' you will find many '05 used 997's with low mileages - 2000 to 8000 miles. Prices vary according to spec. but usually between Pounds65,000 and Pounds70,000.

My question is - Where do these cars come from? Why do owners part with them so soon and with such low mileages?

They can't all be re-possessed can they?

A lot of people buy new cars every year as new better models come out .......... sell 997 for a 997S sell 997S for a 997C4S sell a 997C4S for a 997TT sell a 997TT for a 997TTcab ........................ there are many that do this dance , I use to , it gets exhausting . But Porsche is ALWAYS tempting their customers with newer better models with major improvements and performance . Many customers see the new stuff and gotta have it .

The 996TT's market is not looking to good right now you can name your price on one of those , that model is going to set an all time record for depreciation when it comes to a Porsche model losing value .

let's face it, many people just can't afford the car after the initial emotional purchase. For those people that can't seem to get a discount, just wait until next year and you'll see how many used 997's will impact the new car market. I'm sure there is a percentage of tradeup buyers who have the new car addiction as long as they can afford it. That'll get old after a couple turns for most.

I think a good part of them may be Porsche dealer or employee cars.

I agree. My dealer has a few customers who come in and trade up all the time. I just with I had that kind of money
