I believe what you're seeing there is stage 7, the very last stage of assembly. They install all the carpeting in the trunk and do all the final prep work there. This yellow one you guys see should be the last pre-production car...car #7. It was being built while we were there. We saw the yellow outer shell and I guess the chassis was being made.
To answer your question Mike...by the time you're there, Porsche should be able to build 2.2 Carrera GTs a day. So at the minimum, you should see 2 cars there I assume, if not more depending on where the cars go once they are completed. The very first few months of production, they were planning to build 1.2 or 1.7 CGTs a day...something like that, I forgot the number...increasing to 2.2 a day once they have everything in check. I really don't know how many colors you will see...but most CGTs in the US seem to be ordered in the CGT Silver. (I'm not joking, don't ask me how I know
).
