Re: Cayman review on TV tonight (UK)
Here's some quotes:
The steering feel just guides you in to the apex without having to think about it
light, delicate, full of feel and sensation that make driving a just 45mph such a joy
If I press this button, it lowers the suspension by 10mm, but I can't tell any difference.
Sport Button, supposed to sharpen up the throttle application, well, it might be doing something but all of these things are so minimal that you only really notice them whil you're looking at a stop watch at a race track
I'v got stiffened suspension, sharper throttle, wing up. I'm sure if I turned all of them off, I'd be going just as quick
In most cars you'd be wallowing into corners with understeer, snapping sideways and getting their drivers into trouble but here it's such a well balanced, poised driving machine that nothing un-toward seems to be happening
What a drive!
It is a brilliant little car, at first I thought it was just going to be a marketing ploy to fill a gap between the boxster and 911, it is half boxster, half 911, I love it. I drives like a boxster, it's got those cute looks which I really like and the handling is brilliant, it was greasy and as soon as it was beginning to slip you elt it through the steering wheel, wonderful feedback
Jason: I get the looks, it is pretty but you mention the boxster s. I don't remember anyone jumping out of one of those and thinking 'hmm, if only I had 15 more HP, it was a bit stiffer and....'
It's not a better drive than a boxster s, which is 5 grand cheaper but I reckon those looks are going to get alot of peoples attention. I like the little cutie looks.
VBH: Next year BMW are launching their M4 Coupe which has more HP
I love that M4 coupe, but, it's not a Porsche
