    Cayman in Person

    My dealer invited me to come down to see the Cayman. I took some photos. Very impressive from some angles.

    Wow, very nice. The dealership near me is getting them at the end of december, you guys got them early!

    With the 997s,the dealers only had them a few days before intro, why is the Cayman different that they would have them a month before?

    Saw my dealers car yesterday......very impressive looking....more aggresive and sharper than any Boxster or 911 IMO....and totally surpassed my "expectations" of what it would look like. Can hardly wait to get my hands on mine.

    Does any one know if the Cayman will have a steering wheel available that doesn't have that cheesy looking silver trim? I like the round hub over the stock triangular one, but hate the the silver trim. I believe this picture is of the optional Sports steering wheel. I haven't seen any pictures of other wheel options than these two and certainly none of steering wheels without the trim.

    Any one know?

    No, it's Arctic Silver.



    They must have sent all the "demo" Cayman's in the same color. The one I saw today was identical.

    My impression is it looks like all other Porsche's.

    I think they sent out all the ones from the Cayman S launch in Atlanta. All the cars there were the same. It is funny how they are all the same though, Lobster Forks and all.

    Look at the rear tires of the cars. They seem pretty worn already. They show more wear than my 997 which has 7000 miles on it.
