    i don't believe this rumour. probably spread by some frustrated lamborghini sales manager

    developing a V10 makes no sense for F at all IMHO. a V10 layout isn't ideal from an engineer's point of view and BMW and audighini just decided for the V10 because of the (former) F1 rules and the according marketing hype.

    the current V8 is good for 550-560 HP in N/A mode, and if the power war continues, ferrari would rather tie some decent turbochargers to it.

    I agree with zzboba, the v10 design is obsolete from a marketing point of view, so i don't expect Ferrari to develop one.

    The successor to the F430 is said to get a version of the current engine bored out to 4,5l equipped with Uniair.It will be good for about 550hp.

    what is uniair? and i heard the v8 too...it has more potential, beyond that there is DI as well as turbos from what i read.

    no v10 for shore! whats the point anyway ?
    ... i read that Ferrari has already a new modular v8 with there diferent sizes 4.3cc , 4,5cc and 4.75cc but with no Uniair, my guess is the 430sucessor wil have the 4,5cc engine. But with no direct injection i think, because it seems that DI in an engine that goes to 8500rpm is complicated...

    how do we get our name down on the next 430 succesor??? whetehr it be /v10 or not, I mean the one that will come out in 4 years?

    Indeed, now that Formula 1 is switching back to V8 engines from 2006, I would be very surprised to see a V10 in a Ferrari.

    u r right dsts ,i almost forgot,4 years!! that is so short...i think this is one of the downside of ferrari v8s ,their lifespan is too short...
