    Atlas Grey?

    On the Porsche NA website, there is a video in the C4 section called "Curves". Is the C4S in that atlas grey . . . or basalt black . . . or slate grey? My guess is atlas, and I think it looks great, but I'm not sure.

    It's hard to tell, but in a couple of the shots it looks like it is the Atlas. I think this is my choice of the current colors available. It has an almost chameleon like quality to it.

    I'm not sure either. But when it comes to Atlas, I think you have to see it in person. I've noticed that it doesn't photograph well, but in person it's quite stunning. It has some subtle shades of blue in direct sunlight. At night under direct light, it is a very dark grey with the metallic particles very visible.

    PS Upon further review...I'm pretty sure that it is Atlas.

    Atlas is a beautiful color. It looks amazing with the Sea Blue interior.

    I think it is Atlas.

    Does anyone have some good pictures of Atlas with the Sea Blue interior? I'm most interested in seeing a shot in which you see both colors together in good light. I have been hoping to see an actual car locally, but very few and far between in this neck of the woods.

    Here's sea blue. Don't confuse with Ocean blue which I think is a European version of blue which is much lighter (?)

    That is definitely Seal Grey.
    This is Atlas and yes it does have blue in it.

    Gotta be Atlas Grey, slate grey is warmer, the shots in the video showed some blue hues really clearly. I don't think it's basalt black because of the blues... . Fun huh?

    Basalt black on the (my) brochure color chart looks slightly warm.

    Could be. Then again it could be slate or seal. You gotta see the three of them live. Slate is the darkest with some slight brown tones, Atlas is a little lighter with blue (more blue than slate has brown) and then seal is the lightest.

    I think it's probably too dark for seal, and can't decide if it's slate or atlas.

    Like the film and the bg music.

    Beauty of Atlas is modulating color to surroundings. Can have different shades. Mine is Atlas/Sea but Atlas/Black-Terracotta maybe great too.

    Chances are it is whatever color existed in the imagination of the graphic designer of the brochure. This seriously manipulated studio photo seems more a total idealization of the car, intended to equally serve the ultra slick graphic looks of the brochure. More that, than a representation of a particular color.

    Strange, my dealer told me that AG is the only color that has a non-refundable deposit associated with it, there have been a few customers not happy with the color. Anybody else heard this, or is it just my dealer.

    I've seen it in person and it is a beautiful color. A lot of people on this board and others think it's among the best looking stock colors. I think your dealer was blowing smoke.

    I can't speak to NY laws specifically, but in California dealers are not permitted to have non-refundable deposits on cars. Might check the NY consumer laws to know for sure.
