IMO the question is answered there, an off-topic forum will never be small.. Most likely it would only result in less focus on cars, more personal attacks, a more hostile environment and much, much more work for the moderators.
If you want to discuss other stuff, there is plenty of forums out there for it, rennteam should do what rennteam do best: cars
Sorry for sounding so pessimistic, but seing how quarrels about cars sometimes results in personal attacks, imagine discussions about politics and religion
And such things always turn up in off-topic forums..For nothing else, I would not want to put such an extra workload on the moderators. I'd rather they spend any free time posting than cleaning up the mess in an off-topic forum

Seriously, it would be great with an RT forum since many of us already spend quite a few hours in here anyways.
We might as well get out OT-injection from Rennteam instead of other places,
I believe it is a small technical challenge (RC?), and would derfinately make sense to have.

I agree also, as long as we stay away from race, religion and politics it shouldn't be a problem.
