What do you mean by fixed? You had an "old" PCM system without MP3 capability and had it exchanged with one WITH MP3 capability? Am I correct?

HELP - mp3 "random" question.
I burned an mp3 CD-R while waiting for my P-car. I think I was able to fit like 18 to 20 CDs on one CD-R! Amazing. I like it to play in random order as opposed to sequential with that many tunes. I figured out how to tell the CD player to play random BUT every time I shut the car down and restart, sequential is back as the default. Saleman couldn't help, can anyone here tell me how to make it remember random?

There's no solution I've found. Also "random" isn't very random. My Mp3 disk will play in the same "random" order; as you noted, everytime you shut the car off it resumes in sequential mode, then you pick random and I tend to hear the same songs as the time before. I said heck with it, and made my MP3 disk from a playlist of random songs out of Itunes without any song by the same artist/band in a row. I just skip through the list occasionally to start in a new place and let her roll in sequential mode.
