    Wow they can always squeeze more out of the 'ol flat six. It will be interesting to see if it can hold up during a long race.

    Interesting link - the 3.6 versions did already have more than 450 hp in the RSR versions if I am not mistaken.
    So reliability shouldn't be an issue. The output, especially related to its displacement, is quite alright for a racing engine!
    For me it is an interesting fact that they develop a 3.8 litre engine!

    Apart from that Koro in Germany offers engine modifications for the GT3 engine - up to 480 hp:

    They also build their own - 4.9L

    The Brumos team were running 500HP+ with the 3.6L motor. The motor isn't restricted by air restrictors only Rev limit(9K). The problem is the little Flat six doesnt have the torque of the V8s it competes against. I hope the 3.8L can push the DP cars to the front. Mr Piech said back in the 60s, "Torque wins races". I think developing the 4.5L V8 would be a better route. Time will tell.
