    Carrera GT,Nurburgring

    Heard from a pretty reliable source today that when Walter Rörhl did the testing of the Carrera GT on the Ring he posted a best Laptime of 7 min 10sec.
    Now why do you think Porsche don't make this official?

    that seems unbelievable. if true though, they'll have no trouble finding buyers for the other 250 :-)

    No wonder Walter made himself scared. I'd guess that these times were not offical which is why no news was released. News did come out stating that if Porsche used a special Nurburgring set up that a time of under 7:30 would be possible. This car must really fly.

    I just don't believe this figure is possible. Not on the weight and power of that car. Not with street tyres. It is just way too much of an improvement over the current best.

    robb report article was beyond lame - just a bunch of surface crap and some erroneous reporting that the cgt doesn't come with a/c. they neglect to mention it's a no cost option.
