Guest:KresoF1:German Porsche internal Press schedule list.
Btw, remark on 09th January Press intro was at the end of November 2016 TBC (or to be confirmed).
Any way you can PM me a link or pdf?
I don't doubt you at all, just like to keep on top of this kind of thing.
Coming from Kreso, you can pretty much count on it. Of course with Porsche, everything is subject to change.
"A man wrapped up in himself makes for a very small bundle."
It is the original schedule.
991.2 Carrera GTS models web intro mid December 2016.
991.2 GT3 web intro 09th January 2017.
But, it is TBC. So, if you see 991.2 Carrera GTS this month you will see 991.2 GT3 intro on 09th January. If no web intro of GTS till January then GT3 will be announced in late January or early February latest.
Mikla:GTS will be a fast car... GT3 will need to stretch its legs!
It will...
The 30 extra horses make the GTS maybe slightly under one second faster from 0-200 kph, so...
Also, the GTS will still be a turbo charged Carrera but the GT3 a...GT3.

And with couple of euros and a little chip these GTS Turbo engines can make 550Hp easily making it a very fast car.

I'm sure the .2 GT3 will be excellent and I really wanted a 911R w/ PDK (wingless GT3) but frankly the whole allocation business and market premiums was a big turnoff. I'm actually relieved that I enjoy my .2C2S so much because buying a car, any car, should neither be a competition for rank of privilege or price to be paid.

Not sure the modern ECU's are so easily fooled as the older cars. I think it might be more difficult than that. Otherwise who is going to spend more than double for a GT2 RS?
Even stock, the GTS will be very fast. I doubt many critics of the car will suggest "if it only had 100 hp more power"...

I'm afraid not. Porsche was very ambitious to make the life of tuners very miserable. They (Porsche) knew that with turbo charged engines, tuning "abuse" will follow.

LP997:you think a GT3 RS.2 is in the work? limited or regular model? I heard a rumor like the prototype of the GT2 RS is called GT3 RS!!! i have some doubt
Latest rumors ( from well informed sources ) around here say :
GT3.2 will be presented in Geneva ( press release in January )
GT2 RS in fall 2017
And probably after that GT3.2 RS ( depending on how much money Porsche needs/wants to make )
Another limited sort of R is possible also

Rumors suggest maybe a Speedster which is very close to a 911R without a roof (and maybe traditional short windscreen).

Enzo II:Or maybe even a "carrera rs"?
I think we'll have to wait for the 50th Anniversary in 5 to 6 years. They better make it a good one. The 991 911R was also a 50th Anniversary.
