Yes, the 991.2 Turbo S is more comfortable and all but you are going to miss your GT3 badly, even if you gain more straight line performance. The Turbo S only makes sense in a country without speed limit and/or bad weather all the time (as a daily driver). As a weekend toy, the Turbo S sucks. Smiley I speak from experience.

Not so sure... Maybe it is a matter of taste/preferences Smiley

Sorry that I have to ask again but have you already driven the R8 or the Huracan? Smiley

The 488GTB is also an interesting choice but I would get the Spider.

My favorite is still the Aventador SV but this thing attracts a lot of attention and is in a different price range, same goes to the 675LT I'm afraid.

A friend just asked me yesterday what car I would get if I would win 500k EUR in the lottery: I told him I would get two cars. A Huracan Spider for sunshine and a Huracan Performante for everything else. Smiley Or a Huracan Spider and a slightly used F12 with low mileage. The Aventador SV Roadster also came to my mind but I'm not even sure there are any available anymore.

You see a pattern here? Smiley The sound of these cars is just addictive, maybe I got old. Smiley

Yep, I think you would be right. I would miss the event side of the N/A GT3's exhaust note.

Turbo S would make an awesome second car though. The S must be a great blast for covering tarmac quickly.

Actually, I don't remember saying that the Turbo S is boring before I actually owned one. 2. 570S (c'mon...seriously...they couldn't find a loaner and/or McLaren couldn't provide them with another car?)

    3. R8 (yes, third place because I know that the R8 could use a bit more power and a more refined tire/chassis setup).

Re: OFFICIAL: New 991.2 Turbo and Turbo S

2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S Is Hardest-Launching Car Ever Tested By Motor Trend

The 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S has proven that ‘Turbo’ badged Porsche models remain among the quickest road-legal cars.

During a recent test of the facelifted 991.2 Turbo S, Motor Trend discovered that it was the hardest-launching car it has ever tested, setting records in the 0-30 mph, 0-40 mph and 0-50 mph sprints, only losing out to the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari from 0-60 mph.

While testing at Auto Club Speedway, the latest Turbo S hit 30 mph in a scintillating 0.9 seconds, 0.2 tenths up on the LaFerrari and 0.3 tenths quicker than its bigger brother, the 918 Spyder. It then clocked 40 mph just 0.4 seconds later, once again eclipsing all hybrid hypercars and the Bugatti Veyron. Accelerating from zero to 50 mph took just 1.8 seconds before it hit 60 mph in exactly 2.5 seconds, just behind the LaFerrari and 918 tied at 2.4 seconds.

The Turbo S’s breakneck speeds come despite the fact that it is outpowered by many other supercars and hypercars on the market. As a matter of fact, it ‘only’ has 580 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque at overboost from its twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine.

However, the rear-engined layout allows the all-wheel drive system to achieve enormous levels of grip which coupled with a seven-speed PDK transmission and potent launch control system results in truly mind-blowing acceleration figures.

The AWD R8 V10 Plus thunders its way to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds, making it the quickest naturally aspirated car we’ve ever tested (to 60 mph). Motor Trend Oct. 2016.

Seriously impressing if you compare the data between La Ferrari/918 on one hand with the 991Turbo and with an n/a car like the R8 on the other hand. All are very  close to each other and than look at the price difference. Sound wise the R8 is unbeatable the leader in the "cheaper" department.

Some vbox testing of my 991.2 Turbo S with just exhaust which doesn't add much  . It's a good bit faster than the .1 , heck it's faster than the .1 with a tune . Tried to do 0-300 km/he but ran out of road 0-292 tells the story though . IMG_2162.PNGIMG_2161.PNG

I used Sport plus but manually retracted the aero to reduce drag as the .2s wing tilts creating more downforce but a lot more drag at high speed . It actually says in the manual that the top speed of 205mph can not be reached with the aero extended . I was very impressed with the high speed performance . 100-150 mph in 7.5 seconds is moving , and 200-292 km/hr was just 13.x seconds . With the Kline Inconel  exhaust it actually sounds good too !
