    For the financially challenged, Bugatti is also developing
    a less powerful model to sell for hundreds of thousands of Euros instead of a million Euros plus Veyron.

    I hear Piech's Frau, Ursula, gets production vehicle #7 ("Lucky 7"), any chance she'll be cruising the delimited sections of the Autobahn at 400km/hour?

    Well Ursala is a special story in herself, Google her and you will see that she isnt scared of 400kph.

    Bugatti is establishing itself as the top dog in the super exotic GT car world. Get used to Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Zonda and whoever else to be low down on the performance GT totem pole. Only Bugatti has a true "hyper exotic" GT car.

    If I had the money, I would buy the Veyron immediately. This is one of the last super super super sportscars, if not even the first AND the last.
    It isn't actually the top speed which fascinates me but the whole concept, the whole technical background and of course the acceleration from standstill to 100 kph, 200 kph and 300 kph. This car should NOT be sold to people without a proper handling training first, no matter what car they drove before. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that half of these cars will never hit the street.

    One car mag article I read speculated that most of them will likely end up in museums. Imagine one of those on display in the Louve.

    I wonder if a bunch of rennteamers would think about a "group buy" of a Veyron, sort of like a Condominium timeshare, if ten of us got together, the car would cost only 100,000 euros per person. That's less than a specced up 997C4SCab. I don't know how the insurance coverage would work, though.

    Maybe Hertz, Avis or National Car Rental might get one. I'd hate to see the daily rate for one of these babies.

    The Bugatti Veyron is the ne plus ultra car of all time. It makes all that became before it seem slow and crude by comparison.

    Piech was a genius for demanding it and then pushing them to get it right.

    didnt u have that scary driving episode just last month where u almost crashed? Im sure ur a good driver, but i almost ask "what would u do" with a veyron, esp since it really has no particular purpose; it cant handle too well at 4500 lbs.....Id rather a CGT or Enzo personally.

    You can order a Bugatti from selected Bentley dealerships.

    I want mine in Bugatti Royale Blue.

    would do the same. and then get the new Bugatti Royale, to come out in two years time as a limo to complement the sportscar - hehe...
    well done Mr. Piech - there is no other place one can go to get such a crazy car except Bugatti (byebye Koenigsegg, Spyker, Zonda etc etc...)

    i saw a black or dark grey buggati veyron here recently (1 or 2 months ago)

    the presence is overwhelming. specially the exhaust . Its so big.

    I have heard from a racedriver in the know that bugatti times on nürburgring are dismal. something round 8 mins. so no point in expecting anything special there, it's just not been made for that.

    Well, I had that scary episode in a 355 HP Carrera S because I had a very very bad day, I was tired, stressed, etc. But as always: "almost" is almost. I drove a 996 Turbo with 543 HP (paper) before, so even if it doesn't come even close to the Veyron, I know the smell of a super sportscar.

    The Veyron is a great masterpiece of technology. Piech always was THE technician in the Porsche family, a very good engineer with an open mind. Although many people find the Carrera GT to be a fascinating car (and I agree), I would have preferred to see more of a 959 successor from Porsche. But maybe...who knows...???!
