Beautiful new C4S and C4S Cab photos and film

Lots of new C4S pictures and videos on Porsches German site ...... you can really see the difference in the rear and how phatt it is ......... the C4S and C4S Cab just looks so good in all of these shots , worth it I think just for the bigger rear !

They also have a new version of the configurator, with optional low or high bandwidth.

The 997 C4 versions are now also included. Here's a Basalt Black C4S with XRR wheels

The videos Ocean posted a link to is a must-see btw, seeing the C4/S in pictures is one thing, but seeing it in motion - wow

Fanch....read again...I said ultimate 997 not 911 ....It's certainly the ultimate 997 on the market (until the TT and TTS Cab's arrive)..

I read fine, still not the ultimate 997, but the most expensive, it's different.
That's what great about the 911 line up, there are models for every tastes out there.
In the sports car definition, I tend to focus on the word sports which is why, personally, the ultimate 997 for now is the Carrera S, sport chassis, PCCB, thrump in a powerkit and you have pretty good car, until the GT3 arrives that is!

I've always been sceptical about the ability of the carrera 4 in bad conditions, then my crash sealed my opinion and RC confirmed it.
The 4WD system is to accelerate faster out of corners on dry roads.
On bad conditions, the 4 will have more grip for same throttle adjustment, but you're just pushing away the inevitable, the behaviour of the car will be much more difficult to feel, until it's too late that is.
Ultimately, with the same driver, the wider rear track of the 4 should give a small adavantage on the track (with same chassis setup of course).

Where the 4 will shine on bad road conditions is with winter tyres, then you'll just rip and piece of tarmac!

PS: About your race on snow flaked roads, forget it man, neither of us will even be able to move the car on summer tyres.

120 kmh, rain, aquaplanning and crash. That's why it always makes me laugh a bit when people tell me they buy a 4 to drive the hell of them in the rain.
They are some pics on the forum, that dates back at least two years.
Whole front was gone, wheel, rim, suspension and chassis suffered a bit but not too much. Porsche Paris did a great repair.
BTW, I had P zero which are much worse than Sport Pilot in the rain.
I wrote 2009 saccarstically because the dealership told me delivery of the car in July, then August, then september, then October, then November and now, it's early December, yeah right.
I've given up on hope and have a busy life so it's cool plus, I'm sure I'll be stoked when I finally get to drive it!

It was an unfortunate combination of bad luck and bad skills (instead of declutching and steer the car when aquaplanning, I hit the brake which is exactly what you shouldn't do, but I didn't have any wet weather training then).
I am going from a 996 Carrera 4 Cab to a 997 Carrera S coupe. One end of the spectrum to the other. Two cars that belong to the same family and yet totally different in their philosophy (the 997 will have sport chassis with ceramic brakes and 381 hp) should be fun... if I eventually get it!
