    New Boxster S options??

    Before I make the jump to the dealer I need some help regarding the "S" options.
    - Are there any other interior color combinations that go with speed yellow ext. besides black?
    - What options are the most important and the ones that would be good for resale?
    - Concerned about leather interior holding up against sweat-water-stains. Any tricks or products out there to prevent problems? I'm trying to prevent sitting on a towel if possible.

    I reckon black interior and soft top are the only colour to have with speed yellow. Go for exterior colour centre console, sports seats (if you find them comfortable), sports steering wheel, coloured wheel centres, I personally rate the Bose sound system, full leather does wonders for giving the interior that special ambience, although maybe not that critical with black, xenon lights and autodim mirrors if you plan to use the car much at night. Chrome plated exhaust would also be worth having. TPMS a valuable safety addition. I personally wouldn't go OTT on yellow highlights such as instrument dials, stitching and seat belts, you don't want to make your car's interior look like a tart's boudoir. If you are that worried about resale speed yellow may not be the best colour as it has limited appeal, however distinctive it might be. Best bet colour wise for resale would be arctic silver or seal grey - according to my OPC, anyway. And the correct colour choice would probably have more effect on resale value than any options. My car has the full leather and I've not had any problems with stains, even sun tan lotion has come away with just a damp cloth, thankfully.

    How about yellow stiching with black leather? Not sure if this is available to the US but it looks great.
    I went with red stitching on my wife's Boxster S (black exterior, black interior), looks fantastic.

    I wouldn't be worried about sweat stains on the leather. I have the full black leather interior and sports seats and they don't even heat up much in the (British!) summer. Treat the leather interior with a conserver every now and then and you won't see a thing. Having owned a good number of cabriolets even in hot summer climates (4+ years North Carolina), I've never had a water stain problem.

    I'm in south FL and I drive a yellow Boxster. I play tennis 2 or 3 mornings a week and then drive home absolutely dripping wet. For those unfamiliar with the heat and humidity here, I go through 3 shirts in 2 hours of tennis. Sadly, I can't change my shorts on the court. All I do is wipe off the seat with a towel when I get home and there are no stains or other ill effects that I can see.
