    Actually Aaron, take off your Nico glasses and step back and look.

    Just this year alone, Lewis is the only one with engine problems.

    And Mercedes already had the constructor championship in the bag, and also the driver's championship, as the only 2 drivers that can win are Mercedes drivers. IF they are really impartial, then the team order was pointless. The fight for the title came down to the last race, the drivers are racers so ignoring a pointless order is just fact of life for racers. 

    Nico is world champion, and the season is done. He has more consistent finishes and hence wining the title. 

    And we looked forward to next year.

     

     

    I'm 100% in the Lewis-camp, but I don't believe in these conspiracy theories. I think the only reason why they were issuing team-orders, was because Lewis's strategy was putting Mercedes' 1-2 at risk. That said, I thought it was a brilliant move, sadly it didn't materialize.

    I don't believe in any conspiracy theory at Mercedes, but I do believe Mercedes is very happy and pleased, and relieved  to have a German pilot , driving a german car with a german engine win the tille .  This will be good for marketing !

    This was a very good year for Rosberg. Next year Red Bull and Ferrari will be mixing it up with him while Lewis will put away the season championship much earlier in the season.

    What a shame! NR is WC and only because he had less technical flaws than LH!.

    Whitout the NF @Malaysia GP Lewis would have won the championship with 21pts (!!) as he lost not only 25pts but Nico gained 3rd place (instead of 4th)...

    For sure Nico had nevertheless a good season but right from the start Lewis needed to catch up and especially in the first half of the season he was only fighting with "stumpfen Waffen" as he had to start many times from the back of the field whilst the Hobbit cruised away without any pressure! :-(

    How ever, let's hope that Mercedes's now happy with a german WC and the technical issues will not happen at LH44's car again... ;-)

    2017's going to be interesting, can't wait to see how Lewis will destroy "mamas Liebling" :-P

    Of course, one could easily make the counter argument. What you describe may be the best outcome for the German market (maybe), but spreading things across nationalities could be a better outcome globally. German car + German engine + British pilot gets you pretty good marketing oomph in two countries.

    Come on guys this was LH and NR last change for a world title. The Max era has already started. Red Bull will be stronger next year!

    I think, this is a good read and summary. And, it was the most interesting race I saw this year. I am happy for all drivers on the podium.     Besides Mercedes, it was good for the Italian heart, that VET ended up third.

    I think that you will do everything to win the title, lewis is a fighter and he deserves respect.

    i m more a guy that fight to the end but if i loose i give my oppositor respect even if i think im better. It is the result that matter.

    so respect to nico, and lewis is just an angry tiger who just lost a title and he deserves respect to. But it is just not my life style to be a bad looser, so i did not like the last laps of him. Win with 30 sec and prove that you just lost because of mechanical issues....

    I forgot!! The most impressive thing is that if a mercedes slow down intentionally a lot, the others still cant get close!!!!!!

    this is the most important information we got from the last race......they really have a car in an other category compared to all others . Hope 2017 will give a chance to the other team to be only 1 sec far away , today if they needed to push they where 2 sec faster....

    ...that is really the very point... I mean, Mercedes dominated since the turbos were introduced, therefore, for 2017, I do as well hope that the "others" will catch up. VET already announced some hard work do be done instead of the winter vacation break, well, hopefully, this is / was not the typical media talk after finishing third...

    The name of the game is engine efficiency and good aero package to go along with it in a reliable and tight package. The way I see it, Mercedes still has the advantage and surely won't be asleep in other regards. I do hope that Ferrari + at least one other constructor catches up to match pace with Mercedes. It is so rare to have 3 equals at the top fighting for races. Mercedes won 19 races this season angel

    I can tell you..., every time the Manors, the Haas...etc... came passing by the Main Grandstand, nobody really cared...all were waiting for the first 7 to pass by again...now season finished, let us hope for the best for 2017.
