I just thought you all should be aware; that amongst other options, Porsche AG has released "Sport Shifter" to production, if the car is changable. My 997 has it, and it is one of my favorite options, so consider it; you'll enjoy it ! Revvv

I think it always requires more effort than the standard shifter.
Yeah it does. I thought this had been out for a while. I was playing around with a Guards red on tan interiored Carrera S cabriolet that had the short shifter. i was comparing it with the normal shifter, and yeah, it's much quicker and crisper. I liked it very much.
I had included the Sport Shift on my original order for the Cayman S, but dealer called 3 weeks ago to say it was not available and would be back ordered. I cancelled it in order to expedite my order, didn't want to hold up the car for it. So should I request a change order now to get it added back in?
I also originally ordered the sport shifter, but canceled it to keep my November build. Based on REVVV's opening comment, I called the dealer on Friday and changed my order. It was accepted.
If your Cayman S is changable; it is something that can be added. Call your dealer and ask them for an update, and ammend it if possible. Many November cars are now unchangable, though. I just think it really makes the car feel a lot more like a little race car ! Revvv
Left hand drive - manual (only available in LHD). I'm expecting the car to arrive the very end of December or early January. Am guessing I'll be able to take delivery on January 6th.
