The future is here! It's a beauty and happens to also be fast AF I would love to know how many laps at this pace it can do on a charge?!

I wonder if this "record" is official backed somehow...
I mean I just did the Nordschleife in my R8 in 7:45 min...in reverse gear only.

Boyko23:I'm not a Ring expert, but how is the winter there by 14.10.16? On that video everything is green like it's May for example...?
Depends...we had 20-22°C yesterday in certain regions in Bavaria...so...
It is getting (much) colder now though.

Boyko23:My point was, that everything is too green for October…?

HAHA! Nothing to see here, it was always like this in October I bet RC, that it would do more than 1 lap so settle down with your pro R8 anti EV bias

noone1:Would never buy one, but it's an indication of what an electric supercar will be able to do. Can't wait for these things to go mainstream.
NIO’s EP9 set a record time on the Nurburgring as well, lapping the 20.8 kilometers of the Green Hell in 7:05.12, which made it the fastest electric car on the ‘Ring. The company achieved this with its innovative drivetrain, which involves four gearboxes that help control 1 MegaWatt of power.
The electric supercar develops the equivalent of 1,360 HP, and can accelerate from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 7.1 seconds. Its top speed is 194 mph (313 km/h), and its batteries can be charged in just 45 minutes. The announced range of the EP9 is 265 miles (427 km), which is enough when you have a megawatt of power on tap.
And when the batteries blow up, you probably cannot even identify the type of car anymore.
It is an interesting concept but considering that it is a prototype and each car probably costs millions, I wouldn't sell my petrol operated super sportscar yet.

m4ever:Impressive but it sounds like a tram. Speed without (nice) sound is something I don't understand in a fun/sport car.
Actually, I liked this sound a lot...for a couple of hours. Then, it got...boring.

lukestern:New NBR record of 6:45:90
This would be the fastest lap ever done by any production vehicle – assuming we count the EP9 as a production vehicle.
