    Do you know if all 911 variants would be hybrid (except gt3/rs)? I hope the base carrera doesnt have any hybrid system. A base carrera with the 4.0 GTS engine from the 718 GTS and with manual option would be a great entry level 911.

    Agree, sorry that my posting ended up creating three forms. Solution is a rennteam,administrator, problem, which I’m sure is being fixed.

    I would guess that maybe Porsche will use the hybrid as a performance package, like they used o do with the Turbo? That way it will create he "want" factor and then probably trickle down the model tree at a later stage?

    I hope not an extra expensive option, but just a hybrid system worked into the chassis space created in 911s sometime back. A complete hybrid model, without much price increase. Then I will be tempted, but not as an extra 15 K option. My current 992 GTS is plenty fast for me at my age.. BTW, is anyone going to the petit lemans race at Road Atlanta in October? My son and I are going with the VIP Porsche package.

    I’ve got a 992.2 GTS on order and I’m eagerly awaiting the facelift announcement and for the configurator to open. It’s quite unusual for the engine details to still be a mystery so close to the announcement. From what I can gather, the GTS will have an electric exhaust gas turbo like the SL 43. But we will find out for definite shortly!

    The rumor is that the car to be announced is a GTS. You can never trust rumors, but they compared to the previous GTS Nurburgring time to the new one’s time and it’s about the same difference. In any event, I have loved my 992.1 GTS, Just the right amount of performance and characteristics that I want in a road car😊 You are going to love your new one

    Yes, I hope that the GTS is available from launch and that I enjoy it as much as you’re enjoying yours. 
     

    I read Joost’s post earlier on the Rennteam problems thread and thought back to when I first joined this forum. It must have been over 20 years ago and I was buying my first new Porsche at the time (a 987 Boxster). I remember scanning the hard-backed brochure that I was given by my dealer and posting it on here so the US members could see all the details (which took so long with my 56k modem!). Time has passed quickly since then but for various reason I’m only now in a position to buy a new 911. In those years, I’ve really enjoyed the conversations on here and hope that this community can continue going forward.

    Yes, supposedly there are different configurations across the lineup planned. Apart from the hybrid addition there seem to be naturally-aspirated as well as turbocharged variants on offer.
