    Tyres selection feed back please

    Is time for some new tyres for my 996 C2 anyone can tell me about these two tyres please any pros and cons would be greatly appreciate it.

    I'm looking for street drive and good handling not racing. Good handling would be my main concern.

    Pirelli PZero is better handling that Conti Sport Contact 2. Conti is a bit more comfy.

    Zero Rosso & Conti`s?

    C`on, Contis are good for 40 HP Diesels - go for the Rossos-
    They are one of the very best Allrounders you can buy for
    performance cars.

    I never driven Contis down if theyve been on a new car - I kicked them off very early and exchanged them for the Rossos. Contis sucks heavily in my opinion.

    I think the PAG is somewhere involved in Conti biz - I really cant find another reason thats so much Contis on Purschs.

    The Conis SP 2 are FAR better than the Contis SP1, and I would rate them as good as the Pirelli, well maybe the Pirreli are more sticky. But I would prefer the Michelin Pilot Sport 2.

    maybe that the Conti SP2 is better than the SP1 (logical also)
    but they cant event reach by far the performance of o Rosso - never ever.

    There are 2 things wich make the Contis so bad:

    1. their performance change hardly after 2, 3 mm are driven down

    2. they are DANGEROUS when its wet on the street

    I dont even would drive Contis for free.

    The Sport Pilot is a good Allrounder but also not so sporty
    and so cool in steering like a Rosso but he is by far better than the SP`s.

    ok lets say the other way around - today we have NO bad cars and NO bad tires. The Tech Level is very high everywhere.

    Ok, but there are not bad tires outa there (Conti) and excellent ones like Pirellis & Bridgestones. Depents what you want and how you drive. If you`re a guy who go to the limits with your Pursch you would feel a B I G diff between them - if you`re a guy who prefer the normal smooth ride, not. I saw a lot of GT3`s - but not one with SP2`s....

    Go to trackdays and check the tires from the dudes who use normal tires and not semislicks - it will be very hard to find a car equiped with Contis - Why??? Even my wife don`t like them cuz she had bad experiences in rain with them a couple times - and normally she dont cares over tech details. Again - not even fo free...

    You're right, Contis are not the best tires out there, but look what I've won back in 1999 in Jarama circuit with lausy Contis on my car, guess this makes me a good driver ah

    Michelin, Pirelli and Bridgstone and Yokos are by far better options.

    Yes indeed it was with a kart called Boxster
    The 996 and 993 guys were a bit ungry, I didn't told them I had 300Hp under the but , and so they though it was a lousy 2.5L underpowered Boxster that beat them
