    PICTURES! (w/ Clear Markers, post break-in)

    It's been a while since I posted pictures - but I had to post updated ones, a black 987 S with clear side markers. These were taken after my first application of wax for the car (a little over a month from purchase). I usually use Meguiar's but I tried out this new DuPont Teflon stuff, not too shabby...but I don't think it looks wet enough...so I'll probably pick up P21S or Swissol. The tire dressing is pretty nice though...wears off during extreme highway driving but it looks nice around town! See descriptions for each photo... enjoy! Comments are always more than welcome!

    Clear side markers/front wheel....markers make the car look much much nicer...big improvement for such a cheap but unvaluable add on!

    Close up of the 19" Classics - these wheels are absolutely GORGEOUS (excuse the white residue, it's the dressing that hasn't dried yet)

    With Continental Sport Contact 2's - a good tire, very nice ride, I suppose could be a little more sporty - it does say "Made In Germany" though

    Great, thanks for the pics.
    Those clear side markers really do look much better.
    Now that the break in period is over, you can enjoy the car to the fullest extent (if you havn't been already ).

    Hi AJ,

    Thanks for posting the new pics. I think the clear side markers look just right on your car. As for "Boxster S" in chrome... I think that the elements you have to consider (from inferior to superior positioning on the car) are:
    1) chrome tailpipe
    2) that small piece of gray trim between the tailpipe and the bumper
    3) the Boxster S logo
    4) the roll hoops

    As your car is now, the "flow" in colors and textures across these elements is a coordinated transition. IMO, a chrome logo would work only if you also had a brighter finish on the roll hoops. Summary: I'd leave it like it is...but a chrome logo might work if you had an aluminum finish roll hoop. Just my opinion, since you asked.

    Frankly, I think the car loks very good as is, and there is always that point where "tweaking" crosses the line to "too much".

    More driving, less tweaking!

    LOL! You have no idea how much that plate attracts people's attention...just today I was at a traffic light, and a guy in a BMW behind me pulls up close to my bumper and snaps the picture with his camera phone... as if the car didn't attract enough attention!
