    '03 E55 Squeak on Acceleration

    My '03 E55 has a faint but noticeable squeak when I accelerate hard from a stop or near-stop. Not noticeable with windows up and/or stereo on, but with windows down and stereo off, an annoying squeak. Has anybody else had this and had a dealer diagnose and fix it? I'm bringing my car in for service this week and would like to give the dealer some "guidance" if you know what I mean!

    Squeak? Hmm, I always get a squeak when I accelerate hard from standstill. Just kidding...I guess you mean something more subtle, right? Sorry, never heard of this.

    The first few times I heard it, I thought it was the tires chirping , but it's something else making the squeak!

    Some SLK32s and C32s have the same problem. It is almost certainly the supercharger engaging or at least that is what SLK and C class owners have concluded. It is most noticeable in an SLK32 because you can have the top down. Mine seems to come and go.

    Some SLK32s and C32s have the same problem. It is almost certainly the supercharger engaging or at least that is what SLK and C class owners have concluded. It is most noticeable in an SLK32 because you can have the top down. Mine seems to come and go.

    Mine does it everytime. At the very least, it's a subtle reminder. I've followed other C32's and it's more apparent from the outside. Others think it's a bird...

    Actually i thought i screwed up my brother's car when i first noticed the squeek sound, but now i'm relaxed its not my fault

    My E55 -03 makes this "chirp" sound and my ex C32 -02 has the same problem
