    Carrera Sport Wheel (XRR) pictures from the IAA Webspecial

    Finally found some pics with the new wheel. They are from the Porsche IAA webspecial.

    Boy, I am glad that I ordered them.

    Not bad, but not waaaaauw either IMO
    Porsche definetely has a wheeldesign problem...
    The pure design of the 993 turbowheels has not found its equivalent yet

    Hmm suits the 997 quite well IMO, reminds me of the pre-facelift model 996 GT3 wheels. Still looking out for the Turbo-style wheels.

    They look similar to the standard 17" wheels from the 2002-2004 996 (but bigger)...

    Those wheels are incredible on that black 997! When are they available? Is that a graphite finish like on the M5's? I must have them on my Black 997S Cab!

    Just had a friend on the phone who had to make an urgent dfelivery at the IAA for renault;
    He doesn't know anything about this topic ,but told me spontanuously: "I went to the p-stand and i saw wheels on differeb-nt porsches that i never saw before and i really don't like them...they looked oldfashioned..."
    He was disappointed about the p-stand and told me that the lambostand was gorgeous instead... all whitemetalliccars in a straight simple line-up on a dark stand, very classy, he said

    humm, not bad but not amazing either, they look a but cartoonish to me, it's all relative thouth of course, but along the same lines, I prefer the sport design.

    I don't care for them. I like the Sport Design's the best.

    Brings back thoughts of my BMW w/ graphite wheels... looked real good. Maybe that's a reason not to get it on Porsche.

    I agree with previous post that Porsche has a Wheel design problem. The spokes look very sausage like.

    6 out of 10 IMHO. They just don't look sophisticated enough for a Porsche.

    I must say that the choice of wheels is so limited with Porsche cars compared to the other German manufacturers.

    My personal favourite is the Carrera Classic wheel. Simple, elegant and classy...

    I read somewhere that these wheels are lighter and are wider (by half an inch) than the other available wheels. Can anyone confirm this?
