Thx cwb. 20 years of waiting was well worth it. Every time I get in my car I get a big smile on my face.
My wife gave me a hard time with it
(and still kinda does) but I have no guilty feelings about this indulgence, maybe its because I waited so long and feel satisfied that I've taken care of the family first and I don't feel the pressure of payments etc etc.
People should do whatever they feel comfortable with as far as their financial affairs are concerned but I for one will promote financial stability before purchasing what is an over the top indulgence like this. If you are blessed with having the means to buy one of these cars at a young age ie your 20's the only advice I could give is .. be safe with it and appreciate what you have. I know if I got this car in my 20's I may have not reached this age as I, like many younger people took speed for granted.
In fact when I was in my 21 I got in a horrific car crash (hit black ice by myself) and ended up with cracked c5-c6 vertebrae and in a halo vest for 3 months. Let me tell you, do I ever appreciate this car.
These cars are so much fun to drive but be safe out there everyone please. Know your driving limitations, when you can speed and when not to and don't put anyone in your car or others on the road at risk.
