From this angle I can see the difference , the question is now if you order the C4s cab now you will not get it until April or May and by then I think the Turbo will be announced . So if a Turbo Cab is what you really want how much will you loose owning the C4S cab for just 6 months or so and having to sell it for the Turbo Cab .
Love the wide and higher fenders.

At this stage the sample size is rather small but 57% of voters pick performance over looks.
You have to decide what is most important to you. If you want track times, you won't get either cab - get the coupe instead. The coupe looks better than the cab with the top closed IMO. In open air mode opinion is more divided - I think the cab looks better from the front but the coupe looks better from the rear.
Whatever you get don't forget the addiction of the 3.8 engine

I cannot understand why people are willing to pay more for an AWD in a convertible and some bigger rear fenders or sacrifice performance and options as asked above.
AWD might be a great option if you either do a lot of high-speed travelling (due to the calmer front end) or travel in very bad weather frequently.
I can accept the smaller rear of the 2WD models, especially if you realize that the C4S with X51 has the same claimed topspeed as the C2S with std. engine - now that is how much more money for hum... nothing?
Don't forget that you get several options on the S-model as standard, especially Bi-xenons, the better suspension and foremost the Turbo-brakes!
If you want to stand out from the crowd, get some decent wheels and maybe an individual paintjob. The new multispoke 19" wheels look really good, by the way...

Reg. the wheel, it is an option for the 987/997 models from now on, the inside part is coloured GT-silver. Bit pricey and attracts the view more than the remaining 19" alloys but would be worth the thought.
Reg. the caliper colour, it seems that they are equivalent to the 2WD versions. I suspect that Porsceh didn't want to override the visual advantage of red calipers on the S-model, just colouring the std. model's calipers silver would be ridculous as well...

but in the 996 series production, ONLY the carrera4 fetured silver calipers. The carrera4S 996 had again the red turbo brakes...
So why not again silver calipers in 997 carrera4 ???
