    After 2 coatings of Wax and some strange angles!!

    So just 10 days before my appointment for the RMS fix, i decided not to let myself down and use this "tequipment" briefcase...that i bought some months ago. Its the second time i wax my car during my time of ownership.

    I used porsche paint polish and followed the treatment with porsche hard wax.


    Now i know these might not be the best products available, but i dont actually care so much ,because the bottles are empty now!!

    So i took some different angles , hope you enjoy!


    Note: i did not use any flash in my Nikon 3700

    Bottles are empty after 2 applications? Just a word of advice.... There's no advantage to applying wax thick and liberally. When you buff it off, you're left with the same microscopically thin thickness of coating, regardless of how thick you laid on the goo. In short, most of your bottles of wax came off as powder in your buffing towel. I can usually do my entire Porsche with one ounce of wax, using a foam pad.

    The disadantage of applying wax liberally is that it gets everywhere you don't want it to go, into cracks and crevices, into jambs, causing alot of extra work finishing the job.

    Just a comment. I thought I remembered a long time ago when you got your car that you had never waxed a car yourself. You don't need to spread it on that heavy.

    I mean you went through an entire BOTTLE of wax in just two applications. That means you're using way too much wax, in waxing your car. Kinda like using a whole bottle of soap, just to wash your hands twice...

    WELL 69' to tell you the truth...


    remember back then when i said to you : i never waxed a car?

    and you answered :thats a pitty it is a very special event and i enjoy it much ,celebrating afterwards with a can of cold beer??

    Well i kind of think this everytime i want to wax my car and i start drinking beers!!


    Now seriously, the ammount provided in the Porsche tequipment is not so much..

    That's cool!!!! You misunderstand me a bit though, I pop my first beer BEFORE I start, and drink methodically through the entire process... The last celebratory beer is usually my 3rd or 4th.....

    BTW, I have no idea the size of the bottles Porsche provides in the kits. I always assume 12-16 oz. for a bottle of goo.

    ITS NOT THAT MUCH AND ITS VERY LIQUID, porsche sais the treatment must be applied twice per year, so i assume that they dont want us to stay with one tequipment kit for more that a year!!!


    Anyway i m looking forward to a good aftermarket wax and polish.....
