I paid a premium but not the crazy $125,000; $150,000 markups which are standard in the US. I decided to pay the markup because this may be the last NA GT model. Also, It is certain that Porsche will increase the prices of their models probably this summer. GT models will get the highest increase in an attempt by Porsche to stop the insane US dealer markups on these cars.
The reality is I can justify the purchase now until I die I still overpaid for the car.
I plan to make the most of it by tracking it.

One has to pay what it takes. As long as it gives you the joy you want, then it is all worth it.
I am so happy to read you will take it to the track 
Only there will you be able to fully enjoy its potential. Driving it only on the roads would be missing something.

The wing is a bit of a visual thing, it is narrower than the body but the issue is from a human eye perspective looking down from the back, it looks wider ….
apparently it drives better than a GT3 on the street….
well done nberry, great spec and this wheels look awesome in real life

Only when one switches the dampers to their softest settings. Bone stock it's punishing, on par with the GT2RS.

Surely a great car to visit Starbucks in. You can use the rear wing as a tray table, you can even order food and have enough room for it.

Yes, indeed. Especially the wheels and the rear quarter panel are far more massive than on the 996.

Yeah, Porsche has done an admirable job of keeping weight gains tiny, despite large size increase, Imagine how light they'd be if te 992 and 996 were sane size (or even aircooled size).

My God, Frank, what a beauty your RS is. I still remember fondly visiting the Porsche days on Spa, together with Pieter (944guy) from Flat-6.net, where we first saw the 996 rs in the wild. Amazing to behold. There was a Swiss/French guy Michael ("Mouse") with his red/white rs 2.7 replica which was amazing as well... oh those days! :-)
