    Was living in England at the time - it was a red 1995 968CS. Tracked it heavily, went thro a lot of tyres and brakes, but excellent memories around some historic circuits.

    Right, we'll try and get a few more replies in then I will do a quick mean age calculation. Should be interesting...

    Derf, as for the female / male ratio - we will get a very skewed set of results on here - as I don't think there are many women who post on these boards...;)

    You guys are too young; this is kinda skewed isn't it? I read somewhere reliable that average age of 911 owners is more like 50.

    Boxster owners aa is more like 40.

    I mean just look at 997/S's Porsche Communications Management with navigation and telephones sticking out of it and no Ipod. Looks like an "old guy's" set up to me.

    First P-car was a 928S when I was 24. Had the money to buy it, didn't have the money to run it! It spent many years in the garage.

    39 -- I've had two Boxsters, a Lotus, a number of Bimmers. Just purchased an RS America with 11,000 miles.

    Considering the problems Oreal has run into recently concerning claims to that effect for its beauty products, I don't expect to hear Porsche citing it as a reason for driving Boxsters any time soon.

    I was 30 when I bought my '82 911SC Targa used. I just turned 41 in June, and got my '06 997S two weeks ago. And still kept the other 911.

    Lightyears difference between the two cars.

    Did a Google search on that subject. That came up with an old Q & A session with Mr. Wiedeking done in 2001. Link to businessweek.com
    He said "[In the U.S.] the typical 911 buyer is 46 to 65, average age 52."
    A similar search restricted to German sites came up with a recent article that claims that the average age of 911 buyers is 48. Link to spiegel.de (German only)

    Won't be a "waiter" for a few months, I guess that makes me a "saver"?

    Oh, one 3-month old girl, and her mother is VERY supportive of my Porsche fanatacism (probably one of the reasons she married me)...
    Can't wait to have my daughter as a passenger, that will be one of the great moments in my life!

    Congratulations on the baby girl. The main reason I ordered a Cabriolet is for my son (5) and daughter (3). Can't wait til Blue Ridge Mtn drive in Autumn w/ top down.
