    I had a 59 TR-3A and it had 100hp. Certainly was an awful lot of fun even though it rained inside with the top up.

    first porsche at 21 (white carrera targa)
    second porsche at 25 (black carrera cab turbo look)
    third porsche at 30 (996tt)
    fourth porsche at 34(997s)stolen
    fifth porsche at 36 (997tt or maybe 997tts)

    btw. between the second and third porsche i had a yellow 328gts.which i sold after 3 months.

    I am 65 and nearly 5 months. My first car was a 1946 Oldsmobile in 1956. My first sports car was a 1968 Jaguar XKE in 1970. My first Porsche was a new 1974 914-2.0L. My 2005 997S is my fifth 911.

    34. Bought my first Porsche when I was 30, a 986 which started as a daily driver and then became a garage queen while I spent most of my time covering lots of work miles in a Merc.

    Sold both for a 02 M3 which I thought would give me the combination of performance, fun and practicality. It did for a while but not enough and I really missed the Porsche experience. Sold the BMW, stuck the cash in the bank earning a bit of interest, ordered a 997C2 in November 04, and bought a run around (Citroen Saxo, horrible little thing) to tide me over as I topped up the savings account for the 997. Car being built in October, delivery in November - thats 12 months with no performance car and a lot of hours worked with the money put towards the savings. Sold previous house to get a great double garage to keep the new baby in (wife thought we needed the new house for our new little girl...). To say that I am looking forward to the 997 is an understatement that I think every one of you here will appreciate. I have worked hard to get the car that I really want and am going to love every minute of it...

    My wife is a big fan of our cars. Goes with me almost everytime I go to the dealers to talk about our next aquistions. Celebrated our 11 year wedding 21 year dating anniv. in July. Yup, my High School sweetheart. Even went to College together.
    My son is 5 , my daughter is 4. They started Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Tuesday getting on the same bus together. Walking down the drive way to the bus my son took my daughter hand and walked her into the bus because she looked scared. Couldn't be prouder. Or happier.

    Drove first 911 convertible (brothers) in 1984 at the age of 16.. Am 38 now, and finally able to afford my own, 05 997S cab.. will always own a Porsche, til the day I die. I'm hoping to get a TT within 5 years.. LIFE IS GOOD!

    34... and counting.

    Parents bought me a used 944 Turbo at 18. (and a 2nd one after I wrecked the first!)
    I bought my own brand new 996 at 27.
    Have also added a Cayenne S as well.
