BMW M3 Styling

Hello all -

Is it just me, or does the Bangled up styling of the new M3 (and 3 series) make the back wheel look smaller that the front? What a goofy look. I've also noticed that all of the pics on the BMW website are in black, the better to hide the lousy contours of this car.

Such a shame. The new M3 would have been nice.

yeah the rear looks out of proportion which is why i don't like the new 3 series. the front i could live with, but the rear = puke

This M3 looks amazing! is it a photoshop, or the concept they are supposed to be showing at frankfurt? Guess i should get my name on a dealer list now, to avoid the obligatory 2 yr waiting list for the new M3...

Okay Chris Lo!!

Please tell. That one IS rather nice. The wheels are too big by and inch or two, but otherwise compelling. So what is it?

Yeah, wheels are really too big..... And moreover, strange to see a M3 when the E90 Coupé has still not been revealed ....

Nice, although agree the wheels are a little large. Be interesting to see it from the rear as I think that is the weakest angle of the 'new' 3 series - looks to hyandai/kia for me.

This is the first time I actually like the new 3 series although, I agree with everyone else, the wheels are a bit oversized, bear in mind the rim design is very heavy.
Looks good, has the aggression of the M6 without the fat.
Notice the big bulge on the front bonnet to accomodate a V8!

The wheels make it look like a cartoon IMO

but the rest of the car doesn't look bad at all.

think the wheels are photoshopped from an old spy pic of a laguna blue M6 coupe featured in autocar about 1 yr ago. They don't appear to be on the ground, just floating above them. This leads me to believe the whole pic is photoshopped, however it appears to be a good one, and i for one hope the M3 concept at frankfurt this month is close to the above..

Carlos, can you tell if the rest of it is photoshopped? The wheels only stand out for me as they're so obvious, although the bonnet bulge also looks a little strange...

Its hard to tell but the bonnet does indeed look suspicious, the color doesn't seem to match the reflections, as well as the pixel resolution seems less that the photo's. Also the M3 grill on the lateral looks fake too (looks too sharp, non blended), as well as the side skirt looks chopped to increase its height (it has some repetitions in the pattern horizontally). The front bumper however looks real. Those are my impressions but its hard to tell in a photo.

like i said, i can live with the front, but it's the rear that really annoys me, i dont' know how BMW are going to come right there with the m3

Definitely p-shopped. Here is a link to the original E90 330i which has been modified, including some hideous rims. Link also contains a few other p-chops.

Regardless, it is very appealing...

Nice find shellb3.

Looks like we weren't too far off; the M3 grill, the side skirts, and the bonnet were indeed also chopped. But what we did miss is that its a four door

though now we got the clue its more obvious.
