Well, encouraged by a mutual Cayenne owner, I just dropped in and wha'du'ya'know, there's another exhaust-mod thread.
As soon as I received my Turbo, I knew it would be too quiet, so I had the muffler removed. They were replaced by 3"-diameter S-pipes that connect to the stock tailpipes. I now LOVE its sound, and maybe Gary will opine, as he's heard it. It's louder of course, but IMO it's not too loud. It sounds to me like the powerful V8 it is, with glasspacks that NEVER 'crack' or 'crackle' as glasspacks, especially as they get older, do. Pics are here.

Like Mick says, it's good to see you back.
As for the sound of your exhaust, no, it's not too loud and it does let a little more of that V8 sound through. It's a nice sound and a happy medium that many people would like.
For myself, I like the stock exhaust. It will growl when you get into the throttle but is otherwise relatively quiet. That's exactly like I want it.

TYVM, Mick. Yes, I am and things are well. Have been playing active audiofool for year and a half. While discussing a foto trip ( another pasttime I've been ignoring for that time), Gary encouraged me to drop in.
