That's not much, though I'm not even hearing that much from the US press; they're saying the same or more than the Boxster S. To offer something a substantially different, it should weigh at least 50-100 lbs less. To be honest, I was thinking about a Cayman, but once I heard about the weight I went with the 997S. The proof will be in the driving experience, but based on the specifications it doesn't sound like it will offer much more in the way of handling than the Boxster. Still, Porsche always seems to transcend objective data, and the Cayman may yet become the standard in terms of handling and steering.
