Creaking noise from Front Springs and PASM Sport mode.
My replacement springs as discussed here http://www.rennteam.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=106732&page=&fpart=2&vc=1 arrived last week and were fitted on Friday.
Man what a difference. BUT IT'S NOT JUST THE CREAKING!! (Yes, the creaking is completely gone... for now at least.)
The front springs must be a different spec. In a previous post I discussed PASM Sport mode, and how I virtually never used it because it felt like the car would be pitched up over our bumpy secondary roads, and assumed it was not setup for our roads. http://www.rennteam.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=87835&page=&fpart=1&vc=1.
I have just been out, twice, this morning, about 2 hours driving total on my favourite Sunday morning route, and that pitching is GONE. I drove the whole 2 hours or so in PASM SPORT mode. It was perfect.... just as one would expect from Porsche. Yes the ride was firm, turn in more accurate, less body roll, and all with great body control, unlike previously. Previously I would try sport mode for only a minute or two before having to switch it back to normal. My route takes about an hour, but I did it again because I couldn't believe the difference, and for fun too. I'll probably be out again this afternoon... but there will be traffic. It's like a new car!!
So if anyone else has had similar issues......
