My clutch works perfectly, but there is a lot of noise (i.e. squeaking, clicking) when I depress and release it. This happens even when the engine is turned off. Anyone else have this? Can I lubricate it somewhere?

I had this problem with a 996, and I think there was a TSB on it. Check with your dealer, he should be able to fix it. I think the fix involved using special grease on the pedal pivot shaft, but can't be sure.
I have the same clutch problem with my S. That and a lot of other interior squeaks (sunroof, rear trim). Will take it to the dealer when I get time, will let you know the results.
My clutch squeaked from about 500 to 2000 miles, but since then it hasn't made a sound (apart from the click which is the switch that tells the ignition that the clutch is depressed).
I do have rattles from the rear speakers though (not the ones behind the seats but the ones on the side) which drives me mad. It happens at certain levels of engine vibration and will be something I try and get the dealer to sort out. My only concern here is the worry about the dealer making it a lot worse.
i had a squeaky clutch too. it was during the first couple of inches of travel. the dealer replaced something and its all good now. i can look at the service receipt when i get home later and see what exactly they did.
The clutch squeak or creak is fairly common, lots of reports on the boards. My dealer squirted some lubricant around it and it still made the noise for a while but gradually went away. I forgot about it until I read this post.
No probs with clutch here. Now rattles are something that I'm probably going to have to live with. 3X to the dealer and still have them in multiple areas.
